Christine Normile: TransLattice Elastic Database Architecture Deep Dive

One such project is the TransLattice Elastic Database (TED). TED has combined state-of-the-art clustering and network technology with PostgreSQL and Postgres-R to deliver the world's first geographically distributed RDBMS. In this talk, Christine provides an in-depth view of the architecture behind TED, including TED's predictive data engine, integrated object policy and placement, distributed object store, intelligent networking, load balancing, distributed query processor and global consensus protocol.
